Ibrahim Haktan Keskin set off on this promising journey on his junior year. He started by helping prep students practice their English writing skills. He soon envisioned the project "Be the Voice of My Story", where he and his team became the extant voice of the silenced innocents — the children of war.
We started as a team of 15 high school students from HASAL, aiming to improve our language proficiency under the writing tutorship of our founder. As we expanded our frame and broadened our horizons, we dedicated ourselves to creating and voicing stories for the refugee children in Turkey, who have escaped the terrors in the war-torn regions of Syria.
At "Be the Voice of My Story", our unwavering vision is to be the beacon of hope and resilience for refugee children fleeing the horrors of war.
We believe that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the comforting embrace of storytelling and the empowering gift of their own voice.
Our vision extends beyond the written word. We aim to be the transformative catalyst in raising global awareness about the profound and lasting impact of war on the innocence of childhood. By giving voice to the untold stories of these young survivors, we aspire to change the narrative and inspire collective action.
In our quest to make these stories accessible to all, we champion inclusion and equality. We are committed to providing visually impaired children with the magic of literature through meticulously crafted audio tracks.
"Be the Voice of My Story" envisions a world where refugee children's voices, experiences, and dreams are heard, cherished, and, most importantly, valued. Through our storytelling and advocacy, we aim to spark a movement that nurtures compassion, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the profound need for protection and support for these young souls.
With every story we write, every voice we amplify, and every heart we touch, we are dedicated to reshaping the future of these children, providing them with the strength to rewrite their own stories in their own worlds, filled with hope, peace, and the promise of better tomorrows. Together, we strive to be the voice of their courage, resilience, and dreams.
We are dedicated to crafting a brighter future for the youngest and most vulnerable victims of conflict. We exist to give voice to the voiceless, to empower refugee children with the gift of storytelling, and to shed light on the devastating impact of war on their lives.
